True Essence of Christmas

We are in that special season once again, a season of joy, of peace, of great tidings. A season when we celebrate the birth of Christ the King, the redeemer of mankind! Jesus is the reason for the season.

Christmas is not all about merry making. We must also spare time to reflect on the essence of the period which is the love of God for humanity.When we ponder on God’s love for us, we too are encouraged to share love with others, to embrace peace and be our brother’s keeper. When we are imbued with this love of God, we will be always willing to give a helping hand to those in need, to give succour and comfort to the vulnerable ones amongst others.The spirit behind Christmas is that of giving and sharing.And Christmas is the celebration of the birth of Christ. A time for us to understand the lessons from Jesus and reflect on them. Jesus brought a new religion based on love and the vision of a God who is full of compassion & forgiveness; a vision of doing everything with a positive mindset and from a place of love.

In today’s day and time, it is easy to lose sight of the true meaning of Christmas. Amidst the delicious meals, sweet drinks, lovely songs and dances, beautiful friends and family members we would come across this season, let’s try not to forget about the child, born on a winter night so cold, whose bed was made only of hay and animal food; our lord Jesus Christ, who taught us all what real, genuine and unconditional love is. As we celebrate the birth of our savior , let’s be human and kind enough to remember and show some love to those motherless babies, helpless orphans, hospital patients, prisoners, beggars and all those who are not fortunate enough to be actively involved in the celebration of the birth of our lord and saviour Jesus Christ.

Pero huwag sana nating hayaang ang wikang kinagisnan at kinalakihan natin ang magbago. Mga kabataan ngayon ay madami ng alam. Maraming mga salitang nabubuo sakanilang isipan. Independence Day: Must Remember

Before a caterpillar become a beautiful butterfly that flies freely, it needs to get out to a cocoon first. Just like how Filipinos before fight for our country to get out from the hands of the people who invaded and colonized Philippines. We owe our freedom to the untold number of Filipinos and soldiers who have fought and sacrificed their lives for our country. They fought to end the sufferings of the Filipinos who become slave because of the cruel Spaniards and other people who colonized Philippines. They were the true heroes. Because without them we might still suffering until now. We might still imprisoned and still inside a cocoon. That's why we need to celebrate the "Independence Day". To honor and remember their heroism. You can also be a hero like them. Because you don't need to have a power to be called one. Just love your own country and fight for it even if it cost your life.
